ELIZABETH CRAVEN (nee, Lady Elizabeth Berkeley) was born 17 December 1750, in St. Martin-in-the-Fields, London. She first married in 1767 and became Lady Craven of Hamstead Marshall. She later through her second marriage became Princess Berkeley (though styled Margravine of Brandenburg-Ansbach) was an author, playwright, traveller and socialite, pehaps best known for her travelogues.
