Graduating with a degree in History, Peter Schweller initially worked at leading auction houses in both London and New York and has over 25 years of art market experience. He has been responsible for the successful reattribution of numerous lost works including George Romney, Angelica Kauffman, John Constable, Gilbert Stuart, Sir Anthony Van Dyck, Jacopo Pontormo and Thomas Gainsborough.


Specializing in 17th to early 19th century British portraiture, Peter Schweller Fine Art deals in a wide spectrum of paintings and other works of art from the 15th through 19th centuries.
